By accessing or using Artisia ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Platform.
These terms apply to all users including customers, artisans, and visitors. Artisia reserves the right to update these terms at any time; continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Artisia is an online marketplace that connects skilled artisans and service professionals with customers across Nigeria. The Platform facilitates discovery, communication, booking, and secure payment between parties.
Artisia is a marketplace intermediary — we do not employ artisans, and we are not a party to contracts formed between customers and artisans. Artisans are independent professionals responsible for the quality of their services.
Customers are responsible for:
Artisans are responsible for:
All users must register with a valid email address and truthful personal information. Creating multiple accounts or impersonating another person is strictly prohibited.
Artisans are required to complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification before their profile becomes visible to customers. This involves submitting a government-issued ID and a selfie. KYC verification helps ensure the safety and trust of all users on the Platform.
Artisia reserves the right to reject or revoke KYC verification at its sole discretion, and to suspend or permanently ban accounts found to have submitted fraudulent documents.
Bookings are initiated by customers and confirmed by artisans. A booking is only considered active once the artisan has set a price and the customer has accepted and completed payment.
Artisans on Artisia set a fixed job price — not an hourly rate. The quoted price must be agreed before any work commences. No artisan may charge more than the agreed quoted amount without the customer's explicit consent.
All payments are processed through Paystack, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Artisia does not store card details.
Customer payments are held in escrow by Artisia until the customer confirms the job is completed to their satisfaction. Artisans will not receive payment until the customer triggers a completion confirmation.
If the customer fails to confirm or dispute within 7 days of the artisan marking the job complete, funds will be automatically released to the artisan.
In the event of a dispute, Artisia's support team will review the case and make a final determination. Artisia's decision is final in all dispute cases.
Violations will result in immediate account suspension and may be reported to relevant authorities.
Artisia provides the Platform on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Artisia shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of profit, data, or goodwill.
Artisia is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by artisans. Customers engage artisans at their own risk, mitigated by our KYC verification, escrow system, and dispute resolution service.
In the event of a dispute between a customer and an artisan, either party may open a dispute from their booking dashboard. Artisia's support team will review all evidence submitted by both parties and make a fair determination within 5 business days.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Artisia may suspend or terminate your account at any time without notice if you breach these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon termination, any pending bookings will be handled in accordance with our refund policy.
